We concentrate on employability right from the start of the course, working with industry partners in developing the curriculum to ensure that the skills you are learning will get you ready for industry. In addition, as ScreenSpace is part of MetFilm, you get access to our dedicated careers advice department, MetFilm Futures, that is focused on supporting you and ensuring you develop the skills needed to succeed in the industry.
MetFilm Futures runs weekly, one-to-one career surgeries to advise students on their career paths. We also provide a MetFilm Futures Career Guide which provides links and information on where to find jobs
MetFilm Futures aims to teach and empower all students to navigate the festival and commercial worlds of content in order to maximise the opportunities for their videos and online content.
MetFilm Futures publishes and occasionally runs film competitions that give students the opportunity to produce content with awarded budgets and for clients.
MetFilm Futures connects students and graduates with incoming opportunities including full-time jobs, freelance contracts, internships, and placements. MetFilm Futures regularly recruits interns for MetFilm Production and freelancers for MetFilm Creative projects.
Masterclasses and Seminars
MetFilm Futures organises monthly, one-hour masterclass and industry seminar programmes for our MetFilm School and ScreenSpace students, with industry guests across all disciplines and on current issues and multiple changes affecting the screen industries.
MetFilm Production is an award-winning, independent production company creating high-quality fiction and documentary films for theatrical audiences worldwide. MetFilm production also looks to hire from within and has a number of students and graduates working on its films or in the production office at any given time.
MetFilm Creative is a production agency that uses our graduates to create bespoke content for brands. Like ScreenSpace, MetFilm Creative is a relatively new part of the MetFilm family, however, to date, the agency has employed over 180 graduates on a whole range of projects from short films to adverts to charity work.
